The wind began to switch, the house to pitch
And suddenly the hinges started to unhitch!
Just then, the Witch, to satisfy an itch
Went flying on her broomstick, thumbing for a hitch!

I’m not dreaming Auntie Em!
It’s all real Auntie Em!

My tale of Oz starts out like this - I landed on a wicked witch!
Our house went flying through the sky! The twister carried me
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

They tell me I’m losing my mind
*Delusions getting worse*
Permission slips have been signed
*Hold her down nurse*
Strapped down to the hospital bed
*Don’t worry Dorothy*
Electrodes attached to my head
*We’ll try shock therapy*

When I wake up I’m in Oz again
On the yellow brick road with my straw filled friend
We link our arms as we sing our song
And the lion and tin man skip along

Suddenly I feel uneasy
The sun is gone, it’s dark and creepy

I’ll get you my pretty!
And your little dog too! Ahahahah!
Release the flying monkeys!
I’m coming for you!

This world of wonders I adore - I’m not in Kansas anymore
I won’t go back, I’m here to stay – the asylum awaits me there anyway

**The witch casts her spell in the poppy field, and our slumber is deathly deep
But if I’m already dreaming, then how can I fall asleep?**

When we wake up we skip on our way
The City’s in sight, but the skies are grey
The wind is howling, sun is gone
A tornado approaches to take me home

I see our farm – it’s a thousand feet below
*There’s no place like home, oh there’s no place like home*
I scream as a spin – no I don’t want to go!
*There’s no place like home, oh there’s no place like home*

They lock me up, and they throw away the key
Auntie Em, I’m not mad! Sweet Ozma save me!

Suddenly the Witch appears to me
She tells that she means to set me free!

I’ll save you my pretty!
And your little dog too! Ahahahah!
No one gets to kill you but me!
I’ve come to free you!

My tale of Oz it ends up like this – I’m friends now with the Wicked Witch!
If it’s a dream, I don’t much care – I live here in this place that’s
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

They tell me she’s lost her mind
